Jim Morrison overdosed on heroin, true cause of death is suicide. Jim was found dead in the living-room of an apartment in Paris by Pamela Courson on the morning of July 3 1971. Jim and Pam had had a serious fight over sexual issues which led to Morrison's state of despair and depression. Jim Morrison had been using heroin since 1970 and thought of himself as "sexually dead" as reported in many of his poems. He suicided in Paris and was found dead in the living-room by Pamela Courson who had just arrived home after a party.
