Inspiration

OK I'll go first. Jim's writings inspired me to create the best, most deeply sincere artwork of my life. So many of his poems seem to speak to me, to make sense to me, and inspire me, in a way I know they wouldn't to alot of other people. It's a very special thing, to find true inspiration.

Jim's poetry and his very existence in so many ways has inspired me. I read a biography on Jim when I was 11 and I began reading his poetry. I loved it. I wrote poetry before I read Jim's work but it inspired me to write more.

I also began reading all of the books that Jim enjoyed. From there most of my current interests developed.

What can I say about this man? He is such an enormous inspiration for my writing and was the inspiration behind the degree I am completing. I've taken some Ancient Culture modules as part of it, studies into the lives and culture of the Ancient Greeks. Going to write an exam on Greek tragedy in May. Recently read Patricia Kennealy-Morrison's bio on her love affair with Jim. He was a truly romantic soul.

Listen to Love Street ( LP Version ) by The Doors : http://www.napster.com/player/tracks/15180891

She lives on love street
Lingers long on love street
She has a house and garden
I would like to see what happens
She has robes and she has monkeys
Lazy diamond studded flunkies
She has wisdom and knows what to do
She has me and she has you
She has wisdom and knows what to do
She has me and she has you
I see you live on love street
There’s this store where the creatures meet
I wonder what they do in there
Summer sunday and a year
I guess I like it fine, so far
She lives on love street
Lingers long on love street
She has a house and garden
I would like to see what happens
La, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la
La, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la
